§ 30-8. Materials prohibited from placement in containers or dumpsters.

  • Garbage and rubbish resulting from the use of a residence or business subject under this chapter to mandatory waste service by the town's nonexclusive franchise holders shall be collected by the nonexclusive franchise holders only from approved containers, in conformance with the provisions of section 30-5, for pickup during regularly scheduled sanitation pickups. The following materials shall not be placed in containers or dumpsters for pickup by the non-exclusive franchise holder and shall be otherwise lawfully disposed by the possessor thereof:

    (1)

    Hazardous substances and waste, as defined in section 30-1 and in C.R.S. § 25-15-101, as amended.

    (2)

    Large appliances and furniture.

    (3)

    Tires, whether intact or in pieces.

    (4)

    Carcasses of dead animals.

    (5)

    Construction debris.

    (6)

    Any material for which public notice has been given by the franchise holders that such material shall not be accepted for disposal in landfills which the franchise holders utilize.
