§ 8-67. Dangerous dogs.

  • No dog of fierce, dangerous or vicious propensities shall be kept in the town where it may attack or bite any person, except in defense of the family or property of its owner. If any such dog is found in violation of this provision, it shall be taken up and impounded; provided, however, that if any dangerous, fierce or vicious dog so found at-large cannot be safely taken up and impounded such dog may be forthwith slain by any police officer.
